What a night last night... A normally 45 minute commute from school to home turned into an over four hour drive. Utah got hit by a bad storm last night, and there was an absolute melt-down on the roads. Karrie and I went to the Cheesecake factory to celebrate Valentines, but beyond that we spent the entire time driving. As we neared Utah County, we found out that our community especially got hit with the brunt of a huge winter storm, punctuated by some evil wind sheer. The result was a 16 car pileup and over 40 cars abandoned. ALL roads in and out were closed... The little town I live in was essentially made an island of frozen white. No power problems, but nobody including Karrie and I could get home for the night. We ended up crashing at the Keetch's home for the night, and woke up early the next day to go snowboarding. YES the snow was great up on the mountain...
